Armand "Ott" DiVitantonio, of Haworth passed away on February 2, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born in Boonton, NJ and was a graduate of Boonton High School, where he was a celebrated athlete and a member of the Boonton Hall of Fame. Armand moved to Jersey City for 9 years, lived in Ridgefield Park for 36 years then moved to Dumont for 20 years. Armand was the beloved son of Paul and Filomena. Dear brother of the late Bridget Carroll, the late Patrick DiVitantonio and the late Leslie DiVite. Devoted husband for 65 years to the late Dorothy. Loving father to his three children Armand DiVite and his wife Lori of Haworth, Dorothy Bapple and her husband Jay of VA, and Lorraine Gandolfo of Dumont. Beloved grandfather of Armand DiVite and fiancée Mackenzie, James DiVite and Michael DiVite, Jay Bapple and wife Tina, Armand Bapple and wife Melanie, Lisa Lester and husband Lloyd, Paul Bapple and wife Shonell, Anthony Bapple and wife Kathryn, Dorothy Linstrom and husband Kenneth, Maria Welch and husband Tommy, Kathryn Zaplitny and her husband Paul, Teresa Bapple, Regina Bapple, Lori Paquet and her husband Reginald, Charissa Paquet, Bobby Gandolfo, Jennifer Gandolfo, and Kristine Horden and husband Thomas. Loving great-grandfather of many. Armand was a retired police officer for the NY/NJ Port Authority. He went on to continue to work for 25 years for the state of NJ as a supervisor for the Motor Vehicle Commission. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Haworth and an Elk member of Ridgefield Park Lodge NO.1506. Armand was a very generous and caring man. He will be missed very much. Visitation at the Barrett Funeral Home 148 Dean Dr., Tenafly on Tuesday from 4-7 PM, Funeral Mass Wednesday 10 AM at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Haworth.
