Brian Touhey

Myrtle Beach, SC - Brian Touhey died unexpectedly in his home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Friday, April 27, 2018. A long time Dover and Fairlawn resident, he recently moved to South Carolina to enjoy his retirement.

He was a standout athlete in high school and went on to play football at Temple University, where he enjoyed a successful career. Brian touched countless lives with his selflessness and his desire to help others was exemplified through his mentorship of all those in need. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Loretta, his son Matthew and his wife Megan, son Jason and his wife Jenny and son Jonathan as well as his three grandchildren London, Lilybelle and Camden, his sister Kathy, sister Eileen and her husband Charles and brother Dennis, brother Patrick and his wife Debbie, brother Timothy and his wife Denise and brother Michael. He is also survived by his 12 nieces and nephews. He joins in eternal rest his father James and mother Hildegard, brother Kevin, survived by his wife Anabelle, his sister Maureen, survived by her husband Glen and his sister Regina.

Visitation Thursday, May 3, 2018, 4:00-8:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Service Friday, May 4, 2018, 10:00AM also at the funeral home. Interment is private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.

So sorry to hear this news. I played against Brian in high school (from Whippany Park) and he was as tough and as genuine as they came. This, I vividly remember from 1970-71, 48 years ago! Godspeed Brian.

I was chrushed to hear the passing of Brian. Dover HS & all over Morris County he was one of the best . He singularly scored 6 points in a row, in overtime as a shophmore to win the Morris County basketball tournament. As a football player they didn't come any better than Brian. I will miss him.

iI WAS CRUSHED TO HEAR OF THE PASSING OF Brian..At Dover HS and all over Morris County' ,he was one of the best . He singularly won the Morris County basketball tournament in scoring 6 points in a row in overtime to give Dover its first championship.As a football player ,they don't come any better than Brian... I will miss him dearly.
