Carl Rapp, Sr.

AGE: 92 • Hillside

Carl Rapp, Sr. passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Morristown Medical Center. He was 92.

Carl was born in Newark and lived all his life in Hillside.

He served in the United States Army during World War II from 12/20/1943 until being honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant on 5/25/1946. Carl served with the Military Police and received a Purple Heart.

He was a Cabinet Maker and worked as a foreman for Builders Fair in Springfield for over 30 years before retiring.

He was a member of Christ the King Church in Hillside.

Carl was predeceased by his wife, Jean (nee- Gothier) who passed away on 7/12/1980.

Survivors include his sons: Carl Jr. and Bruce & his wife, Gabriela; his daughter, Pamela Joy Middleton & her husband, Robert; his sister, Irene Ciesla; and his 4 grandchildren: Craig, Jeanna, Danielle & Christopher.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral at 9:45 am on Saturday, February 27, 2016 from the Par-Troy Funeral Home. 95 Parsippany Rd, Parsippany. (973) 887 - 3235 or visit www.partroyfuneralhome.com With the Liturgy of Christian Burial to be offered at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church. 90 Whippany Rd, Whippany. Interment: Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visiting hours will be tonight, Friday from 5:00-8:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
