David Paul Woeste

AGE: 54 • Long Valley

David Paul Woeste, 54, of Long Valley, NJ passed away peacefully early Monday, Feb. 25, 2013. Dave was born on July 15, 1958 in Dayton, OH. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1980. He lived in Long Valley for 17 years. Dave worked for Mars Inc. for many years. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as hiking and bicycling. In August 2011, Dave suffered a spinal cord injury leaving him paralyzed. He was a very active member in the community, serving as a lacrosse referee, coach of his daughters' sports teams, and member of St. Mark's Parish council. He was a college football fanatic and enjoyed playing cards and board games.

Dave is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Kathleen (nee Homan) Woeste; his daughters, Michelle and Corinne; mother, Edith Woeste; siblings, Anne Winterland and husband Vince, Michael Woeste and wife Jennifer, Cynthia Lowndes and husband Holland, and Timothy Woeste and wife Jennifer; and by many other loving family members. He was predeceased by his father, Paul Woeste.

A Celebration of David's Life will be held from 4-8 PM on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at St. Mark's Parish, Long Valley. A 10:30 AM funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013 at St. Mark's Parish. Interment will follow at German Valley Rural Cemetery, Coleman Road, Long Valley.
