Jerome Hoffman Obituary
PARSIPPANY -- Jerome M. "Jerry" Hoffman passed away on Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown. He was 21.
He was born in Livingston and lived in Parsippany his whole life.
Jerome was a graduate of Parsippany Hills High School in Parsippany and was currently attending County College of Morris in Randolph.
Survivors included his loving parents, Jerome and Maria (Barone); his dear sister, Leighann, at home; his beloved paternal grandmother, Mary Hoffman, formerly of Paterson; and his beloved maternal grandparents, Michael and Ramona Barone of Cedar Grove.
He also is survived by many dear uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany, (973) 887-3235, or visit www.partroyfuneralhome.com.
Entombment: Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
Visiting hours are today, on Monday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Though I have not made your acquaintance, I just wanted to say how sorry I am to read of the loss of your son. I read the obituary in the weekly paper and reading further on the internet, learned how your son had selflessly rescued a number of cats from a burning house a few years ago. Your son was truly a great friend of mine. This is a great loss for all of us and Jerry will be missed like none other. I tried my best to get emergency leave in order to come home for the services, but because he is not a direct relative the Air Force will not let me. Funny how the AF thinks that blood is the only thing that can make you brothers. You are all in my thoughts and prayers, he will be sorely missed.

I cannot express my feelings of sadness. Jerry and my son Greg Levy were friends for years. I woud always bother the kids,ask questions and frankly annoy them. I truly loved talking with Jerry. He had a lot of genuine qualities and was funny too. He will be greatly missed.
