John Stavron

AGE: 90 • Morristown

John Stavron, 90, went home to be with the Lord on March 15, 2015. He passed peacefully at home, with his family in attendance. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Steven Stern. Born and raised in New York City, he later settled in Morristown, NJ.

John was a veteran of World War II, serving overseas in the Navy. After the war, John was a barber, happily serving the community. John loved the Lord greatly, and was a humble servant of God. He was also a talented jeweler and painter, who enjoyed music, singing and spending time at the beach.

A Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church, 1447 Sussex Turnpike, Randolph, NJ on Friday at 10:00AM. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Morristown, NJ. Hours of visitation at the Doyle Funeral Home (doylefh.com) 106 Maple Ave., Morristown, NJ on Thursday from 6-9PM.
