Karl F. Herbst

AGE: 86 • Randolph

Karl F. Herbst Age 86, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2013 at his home. He was born and raised in Newark. He lived in Livingston and Parsippany before moving to Randolph in 1987.

Karl proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II from 1943 until being honorably discharged in 1946. He was a Recycling Attendant for the Township of Randolph for many years before retiring. Prior to that he worked as an Auto Mechanic at Stanley Motors in Irvington for over 30 years. Karl was a member of the Schuhplattler Gruppe des Bayern Verein in Newark and a former member of the B.P.O.E.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Vivian (nee-Stanley) on May 12, 1997. Survivors include his son, Michael Karl and his wife Dawn L. of Sparta; his sister, Ruth Nino of Lake Hopatcong; and by his two cherished grandchildren: Morgan and Dylan

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 8:30 pm at Par-Troy Funeral Home. 95 Parsippany Road Parsippany. (973)887-3235 or visit www.partroyfuneralhome.com. Cremation: Private. Visiting hours are from Sunday 7-9 pm ONLY.
