Thinking of you always. I remember this time in 2013. A man walked into my job and i was taken aback by how much he resembled you. It was as if you were standing in front of me. I couldnt even speak for a few seconds and my eyes filled with tears. The man was SO confused (rightfully) and i apologized and told him that he resembled my cousin Matt that had passed away. He said "Matt? .. Matt Rizzo??" (*ONLY you could have impacted someone so much where you were the FIRST Matt they thought of) He didnt even know you passed. He was a childhood friend and he knew our family and everyone always said you two looked alike. As sad as i was to pass on the news to him, it made me remember what a special soul you are. I am honored to be one of the people you made such an impact on.

Our dear friend, Matt. A year ago today seems as though it was yesterday. Everything came rushing back as if it were happening all over again. I know you were with us this weekend as we honored you. We miss you dearly. Until we meet again, my friend. God Bless.

Matt,
I am grateful for my weirdly great memory as we all go through this process of grieving. Remembering when we were playing in denville at the pool, trick or treating in your neighborhood playing at gramma's and countless sleepovers. In middle school you me and sandy spending the summers together at verona rec and verona pool and still going up to your house to swim, probably still trick or treating at your house and of course, driftstone. At one point I think I knew your friends and neighbors better than I knew mine! All your cars and the tagging on your bedroom walls! and the numerous parties down the shore. Hearing all of the inside scoop from the long island house and all the great times on the bay, when the boats worked! Can't explain how much I will miss you. Love you always.

Matt,
To know you was to love you. You hold such a dear place in the hearts of so many people... the only ones you don't hold that place just never had the pleasure of meeting you.
I cannot put into words how much I miss you as you were the closest thing I ever had to a brother. I would say how I wish I could have spent more time with you or made a bigger impact in your life but you wouldn't hear such things and would just tell me "No Regrets".
I've loved you since the day you were born and that will never change. Thank you for all you have ever done, you are a total rock star and I am proud to have played even the smallest part in your life.

Family forever and always

Matt,
It was intimidating at times being brought into such a large family but it was amazing to see how much you all love and care for one another. You welcomed me with open arms which meant so much because Tim always thought of you more as a brother than cousin. If Jack and Christian grow up to be half the man that you were we will be so proud. Taking comfort in knowing you've been reunited with your best friend, your dad and we've got you as a guardian angel.

Matt-
Finding this news out tonight was extremely sad. For many years I've worked side by side with you, and a great guy you were. Always respectful, energetic, willing to teach, hardworking, fun, courageous, the list just goes on and on. I'm so honored to have met and worked with you as well as shared so many laughs together...I will always remember these times with you like they were yesterday. Rest in peace my friend, you've definitely earned your wings way to early in life. See you on the other side-

To Matt, my friend and brother, Though I've only known you for a short time you made me feel like we have been Brother's for a lifetime and that is the one thing I'm going to miss the most. I will miss the discussions and plans the we wanted to accomplish for family, friends and Tri-County. Jo Anne and I were so honored the day you called us to meet you and Kim to tell us about your engagement, you touched my heart that day. You treated people with respect and in return you got that back, that is one attribute that was so amazing about you, there are not alot of men with this quality. If anyone had a problem you were always there to lend a helping hand no matter what time of day or night, you gave your full support, that is the true meaning of a man with a Big Heart. Your big grin and bright smiling face are going to be terribly missed by all. I Love You Brother, R.I.P. You are forever in my heart, "My Right Hand Man". Carl

We will love and miss you always and forever. Carl & Jo Anne.

Matt,
I have always felt like we had a deep, continuous friendship. The fact that we are family just added to our connection. Sometimes we would not see or speak to each other for a while but when we re-connected it was as if there was never a separation. We shared similar senses of humor and loved to rattle off nonsense followed by a giggle or farting sound...lol. We had some comical adventures together, some were successful, some not so much, but all were cherished. Of course, I always looked up to you because of your view of life and how you interpreted it. It was you who taught me to enjoy any and all moments and if it was not enjoyable, find a way to loosen the mood up. We had a lot of laughs and not one argument even while room mates on the Island. I will be thinking about our time spent together for the rest of my life. Just wait until you see the idea of a tattoo that I am getting drawn up in memory of you. Let's see how many family members and friends will rock it.
