Raymond Peter Gila of Morristown passed away on January 5, 2014 at Morristown Medical Center after a short illness. He was 79 years old. Born in Hoboken, Raymond lived in Leonia, before moving to Morristown 31 years ago. Raymond earned his B.A. degree in Business Administration in 1956, and his MBA in 1957, both from Lehigh University. He was a CPA in both New York and New Jersey. Raymond worked as a Professor at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY for 25 years before he retired in 1997. His career also included consulting for a solar energy company. He was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, SCORE (Business Counseling Group), and volunteered his time at the Rothman Institute for Entrepreneurship.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Sally, of Morristown, and his devoted daughters, Christa and her husband Chuck of Chatham, and Lisa and her husband Doug of Bucks County, PA. He is also survived by his beloved siblings, Rita Antine and her husband Anthony of Jamestown, RI, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Christine and Amanda Besselman, and Morgan and Riley Nees.

Visitation for Raymond will be on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 5-7pm and Friday, January 10, 2014 from 4-6pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler, 106 Main Street, Madison. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Raymond can be made to: Alzheimer's Association, Cornerstone Family Services - Adult Day Center, or the charity of one's choice. Envelopes will be provided by the Funeral Home.
