Robert Yadlon Obituary
AGE: 79 • Wharton
Wharton: Robert E. Yadlon died peacefully on May 22, 2015, at Kindred Hospital, Dover, New Jersey. He was 79 years old. Born in Bayonne, raised in Linden, Bob lived in Wharton for the past 47 years. He was a graduate of Linden High School, served in the U.S. Army for two years during the Korean War, received a B.S. from Upsala College and a J.D. from Seton Hall School of Law. He maintained a law practice in Dover for 30 years. He also served as attorney for the Mayor and Borough Council for the Borough of Wharton for 28 years. He was a former member of the Morris County and New Jersey State Bar Associations.
Predeceased by his parents John Yadlon and Mae Barry, brother Jack and infant brother Thomas. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marie Kelly, daughters Susan M. of New York City and Kathy Pappas, son-in-law Michael T., and grandchildren Thomas M. Pappas and Emily M. Pappas all of Boonton Township, brother Edward of Hamden Connecticut, and several nieces and nephews. Bob loved sports, all things Notre Dame, music, nature, and spending time with family and friends on Long Beach Island. He will be great missed by all who loved him.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 4-8pm at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St, Wharton. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday 10 am at St. Mary's Church, Dover. Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Roberts memory to the Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka KS 66675, would be appreciated.

Mrs. Yadlon, Sue and Kathy, I want to express my sympathies to the entire Yadlon family. Mr. Yadlon was a great guy and a sharp lawyer. Lord knows he got me out of a jam or two back in the day. He was a great community guy who really cared about our town and the people in Wharton. May God Bless You.

I'm not sure what to say or who to bake for anymore- The Terrace is without it's commodore. We may have to buy a picture at a garage sale and hang it in his garage in his memory. He will be dearly missed, potatoe chips and all.

What a neighbor , very few people of my life have influenced me more than the CAPTAIN ( self appointed and the only captain never to travel his 16" yaught in the OCEAN ) what a kind and graceful man , he will be forever missed , we are all so upset we may move to the Oceanside ... some of his short priceless one liners will last forever, and always keep the captain with us ... so very sorry Susie and Kathy
