RONALD A. OWEN SR.
AGE: 68 DOVER
Ronald A. Owen Sr. "Sarge", 68, of Dover, passed away Thursday, Jan 8, 2009, at St. Clares Hospital, Dover, following a long illness. He was a resident of Dover most of his life. Mr. Owen

was born in West Wyoming, Pa. He grew up attending church at the Salvation Army in Dover. He served with the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War and National Guard for a total of 21 years. He worked as a melter at Howmet Alloy Corporation, Rockaway Township for over 10 years. Most recently, he worked for Prudent/DC Express, Dover. He was a life member of the American Legion, Post 175, Rockaway, and was a life member DAV, N.J. Chapter 63.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Shirley; his son, Ron Jr. and his wife Patty of Hopatcong; and his daughter, Cynthia. He is also survived by his sister, Diana Donnelly and her husband Chip; three brothers, Dave and his wife Charlotte, Edwin, and George and his wife Pat. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and his nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan 11, 2009 at the Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Route 10 West, Randolph. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan 12, 2009 at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover.

"Sarge and Family"
What a wonderful person Sarge was, I only wish I new him longer. God Bless him and his family. He now will not miss any Chinese Auctions and Bingo games were he can always win for sure.

I remember Ron from our DHS days....His mom was one of the cafeteria workers there and took good care of Ron's friends....May Ron's family receive all the Blessings that God can bestow on them in their time of need....

I am so sorry to hear of Rons passing. We knew each other many years ago when we where teenagers at the Salvation Army in Dover, with Capt. Smith.
