Sharon Kay Lykins, age 70, peacefully passed away at home on April 9, 2017 with her loving husband Randy at her side. There will be a viewing at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 high Street, Hackettstown, NJ on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 4-8 pm and a funeral service of remembrance will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 10 am at The Panther Valley Ecumenical Church, 1490 Route 517, Allamuchy, NJ.

She was the daughter of the late James and Lorene Fuqua. She was predeceased by the following brothers and sister; George Seaton, Steven Seaton and Margaret Reno. Three siblings, Roger Seaton(Joyce), Donna Seaton, and Mary Lou Shaver(Joe) continue to live in Fairmount, Indiana.

Sharon was born in Bloomington, Illinois she grew up in Fairmount, Indiana (childhood home of the actor James Dean) where she graduated from Fairmount High School's class of 1965 and was a classmate of Jim Davis, the creator of the comic strip "Garfield." But Jim wasn't the only graduate from Fairmount with a wonderful sense of humor! Sharon loved to make people laugh. It was so much fun to be in her company!

Sharon's gregarious personality made her a natural as the proprietor of Village Greeting Cards in Hopatcong, New Jersey. She also used her affable skills as the owner/Innkeeper of the Bridge Street House Bed & Breakfast in Lambertville, New Jersey. These same skills were apparent at the many dinner parties and social events at the Lykins' home in Panther Valley over the years.

Friends & Neighbors organization benefited from the charitable time and energy Sharon gave to all the various projects she chaired, co-chaired or supported. She served as President of the organization two years (2008-2010) and Vice President for four years. She was also a member of the Bed and Breakfast Association of Lambertville and New Hope,serving as treasurer from 1995-1998. If collecting friends is a hobby, Sharon specialized in this venture and will be missed by all those who were privileged to be in her company.

Sharon and Randy raised three children in their blended family: Pamela Benson of Denville, New Jersey married to Matthew, Dawn Ryder of Hackettstown, New Jersey married to Sean and Philip Stanton of Roseta, Pennsylvania. They have shared four loving grandchildren: Samantha Solano-Stanton, Luke Luzzi, Ian Ryder, and Tim Ryder. She has three remaining siblings; Roger Seaton, Donna Seaton and Mary Lou Shaver all of Fairmount, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Friends & Neighbors Scholarship Fund, Box 164, Allamuchy, NJ 07820 in memory of Sharon.
