Patsy Marx Obituary

Patsy "Pat" Marx, born in Ellensburg, Washington on December 30th, 1950, died on December 2nd, 2009.

Pat is survived by her mother Lorraine "Chic" Powers; siblings Mike (Nancy) Powers, Glenn (Bev) Powers, Mary (Brad) Casey, Terry (Lynda) Powers; husband Norbert "Bert" Marx; daughters Leeann Marx (Jesse Thompson), Carrie (Simon) Barr, Trista (Glenn) Robertson; and her three grandchildren Jazlyn, Jacob, and Kayden.

Pat, with her easy smile and quick sense of humor, will be truly missed as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and dear friend. She especially cherished spending time with her family and friends, knitting hats for cancer patients, working in and supporting her church, taking road trips with Bert, and seeing her grandchildren enjoying their favorite activities.

The family would like to send a warm thank you to the staff at KVCH and Memorial Hospital in making her last moments comfortable. It brings the family some peace to know that Pat will be joining her father, Stan Powers, and her brother, Lucky, in heaven.

A Rosary will be held on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 6 pm at St. Andrew's Church. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Saturday, December 12th at St. Andrews, with the procession to Holy Cross Cemetery. A reception to follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Pat Marx Cancer Donation Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank branch. Funds will be given to the American Cancer Society – Kittitas County Relay For Life, a group that has supported Pat and her family, as well as others, in so many ways.
