I grew up across the street from Emily. My earliest memories are playing "mother may I" and "red light, green light" in her front yard on summer nights. That and Dr. Tom's brand new early edition Tbird. Emily was always a friend and kind to everyone. She will be missed.

Cannot adjust to the reality that we will not be sharing peach or elderberry wine, never ending laughter and conversations. Emily was a spitfire and delight. We shared genes and love of plop gardens, found animals and thoughts that were a little left of center. Love my memory of Emily´s Popcorn Cake at the family reunion. If we had been children we would have been banned from sitting with each other as mischief and laughter were a given. She had this effect on every one, bringing out youth and laughter. We hatched a plan to write a cookbook together "Outta My Head", yet geographic distance and life matters interfered. Emily, you inspired so many, provided so many laughs and good times. My Dear Cousin I toast your life with a glass of elderberry wine. Till we meet again.

Emily hosted a small get together for members of the WPHS Class of 65 a few years ago . I will always treasure our short but memorable dance with her at her house in Starkville MS . Emily will be in our thoughts and will miss her sweet personality .
