Opelousas - Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2018 for James Anthony Robin, Sr. in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. Reverend George Kellogg, Jr. will officiate the services.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home.
Mr. Robin, age 81, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Robin honorably served his country in the United States Army for over 20 years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and gardening. Mr. Robin will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Audrey Melerine Robin; son, James A. Robin, II; daughter, Denise Robin Richard and husband, William; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Betty Lou Robin; parents, Jefferson P. Robin and Bertha Soileau Robin; brother, Floyd L. Robin; and sister, Roma Jean Robin.
LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home, 2845 South Union Street, Opelousas, LA 70570, (337-942-2638) has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
