Leroy Marks Obituary
PORT BARRE - Funeral services will be held at 3:15 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2014, in the St. Charles Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the St. Charles Cemetery in Grand Coteau.
Junior was a native of Big Cane and was a resident of Port Barre. He passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at Lafayette General Medical Center, at the age of 70. He enjoyed yard work, grading, cooking, fishing, and visiting family and friends with his mother.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Murphy Marks, of Port Barre, his children, Steven Ryder, Sr. and wife, Amanda of Port Barre, Pam Lamke and husband, Arthur of Port Barre, ½ daughter, Christ Huff of New Port, TN., sister, Joyce Lanclos of Kenner, LA., nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Marks, wife, Dedree Lee Ryder and ½ daughter, Dana Polozola.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Thursday, February 6, 2014, 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 3:15 p.m.
A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon in the funeral home.
Words of Comfort to the family may be expressed at www.sibillefuneralhomes.com. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre.

So sorry for your loss and will be keeping you and your family in my prayers and in my heart in these sad times.Just be thankful in knowing he will never hurt,feel sad,or have to worry about anything because he is finally home a place we all want to be one day but not until our time.Remember Jesus said he will never make you carry a cross you cannot bare and if you fall he will always be there to pick you up no matter how many times you fall.Just have to believe in the faith the bible teaches us and that we will meet our loved ones again one day and that is the only thing besides my wife and entire family that keeps me going.My family and i will have you and yours in our prayers Love You From Ross&Ramona Ryder and Family
