Judith "Judy" Denk

1950 - 2025

Judith A. "Judy" Denk, age 75 of Sauk Centre, passed away Friday, October 10, 2025 surrounded by her family at the Cura Care Center in Melrose, Minnesota.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 15 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Kevin Soenneker officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery.

Visitation was from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Catholic Church.

Judith Ann Schmidt was born September 17, 1950 in Sauk Centre to Clement and Mary (Rousslange) Schmidt. Judy grew up in Sauk Centre and lived here all her life. She married Robert Denk at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church and later divorced. They had children and remained lifelong friends for the sake of their children. In her younger years, Judy attended Model College in St. Cloud for the love of cosmetology. She worked at Jennie-O Foods in Melrose for many years and then at Walmart until she retired in 2020. In 2024, Judy moved to Getty Street Assisted Living in Sauk Centre. She made many friends and enjoyed her time playing games and Bingo and visiting over a cup of coffee.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. She enjoyed crocheting and making blankets for all her grandkids.

Survivors include her children, Jeron (Angela Hoeschen) Denk of Sauk Centre, Kim (Jeremy) Kortan of Sauk Centre, Angela Denk of Starbuck, Kayla Denk of McKenzie, Tennessee, and Katie Olson of Glenwood; grandchildren, Alyssa and Madison Denk, Kendra and Brooklyn Kortan, Parker Standridge, Chase Denk, Issac McClain, and Taylor Denk, and Tara Olson; great-grandson, Sawyer Denk; and brother, Michael Schmidt of Sauk Centre.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband, Robert "Rob" Denk in 2022; and son, Josh Denk.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
