My heartfelt condolences to Art's family and friends. After 9/11, I realized that life was too short not to pursue a dream of mine to own a boat. I met Art at the Javit's boat show in NYC and he spent a lot of time with me explaining what to look for in a boat and I ended up buying my first boat from him. I still remember that bright sunny day when Art took a very nervous me out of Five Mile River on my new boat and taught me how to operate it and navigate the local waters. Thanks Art, for opening up my world beyond the land and initiating me to the joy of boating. Rest in peace.

Please accept my deepest sympathy on Art's passing. I had a tremendous amount of respect for Art as a business collegue and he was a good friend when I lived in Connecticut. He did the boat business "Right" and was a great role model for customer service. He will be missed.

We have lost a mainstay of Five Mile River. Art and his gang were a pleasure to deal with and always ready at short notice to help with boating problems. A big man who will not easily be replaced in the local marine scene. Condolences to his family, friends and business associates.

My name is Gerard Staudt. I purchased my Mako from Art years ago. Art and his team including Ray. Phill, Drew and all have kept my boat in new condition ever since. I have never met any individuals or boat team that has more logical "how to" solutions for any boat problem that I've ever presented. I have sent many new customers to Art and his team because he ran the only boat business I have experienced in 25 years that does what they promise on time - and produce quality work and reliable results. I loved going down and talking with Art about his great wife and kids. He was so proud and loving. I will miss Art a lot. My our pain of loss soon be replaced with great and funny memories of Art - and his wisdom of how to deal with people and the challenges of life. Sincerely, Gerard Staudt. 423 Rowayton Avenue.
