Roberta Clarke Obituary
Roberta Nathan Clarke, 71, of Darien, CT, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2013 surrounded by her entire family.
Roberta was born in Bronx, New York to Joseph and Pearl Nathan on April 3, 1942. When she was 16 she moved to Miami Beach with her parents where she lived until she moved to Darien in 1976.
Roberta is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Pearl. She is survived by six children, Robert Joseph Owen, Jonah Nathaniel Clarke, Zebediah Abraham Clarke, Abiah Bruff Ruel, Elihu Azel Clarke, and Eben Matthias Clarke, a niece, Sharon Lupo, a nephew, Mark Miller, and five grandchildren.
Roberta was an avid traveler. By boat, by train, by plane or by camper Roberta saw the world, and she was always excited for her next adventure. She also loved cooking, gardening and her job at Recovery Network of Programs, where she worked for her longtime friend, John Hamilton. But mostly Roberta loved her family, and all the love and laughter having so many children and grandchildren brought.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August, 17, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien, CT. Calling hours will be from 10:00 AM -12:00 Noon prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Recovery Network of Programs for the Tina Klem Serenity House, 2 Trap Falls Road, Suite 405, Shelton, CT 06484. www.lawrencefuneralhome.com

Roberta was one of the most trust worthy person I ever met. She was a great listener and always gave you the best advise. I feel lost and will miss her terribly, but I know that I'm not alone. God has gained another great humble heart among his kingdom promises, where suffering and death will be no more. Her smile will always remind me that I was fortunate to have the opportunity to have known her and shared many pleasant moments together. My condolences to her family and I pray that God will give them the strength during this difficult time.
