I just now heard about Al's death while speaking with a mutual friend at a car show. (5-27) I had moved out of the area for approx. 2 years, and lost touch with many old friends. I will really miss Al; we were very close during the old "street rod" days. He was always a big help to me on working on my cars. It was therapeutic for him, and a pain for me. I'm sorry we hadn't stayed in touch, and he will be very sorely missed by myself and my mother who thought so much of Al. He will ever be forgotten, and neither will his family. Much love and lots of great memories.

Albert....

Wow...is there a title he didn't have? I can think of many starting with friend! Of course, there is also neighbor, confidant, protector, taxi driver, race car driver, race car collector, NASCAR teacher, dinner guest, breakfast guest, babysitter, travel companion, private detective, master of disguise. He owned all of these titles as far as I am concerned. But the one that is most important to me...he's the one person on this earth that taught me I really did know "JACK!" ;)

Love ya Albert...thanks a million for all you've done for me and with me over the course of the last 35 years.
