Family-Placed Obituary

SHELL, Allen B. age 76, of West Alexandria, formerly of New Lebanon, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday evening, October 14, 2004 following a lengthy illness. Born August 3, 1928 in Brock, KY to the late Allen L. & Katie (Williams) Shell. Mr. Shell served active duty from July 1952 - June 1954 with the US Army in the Korean War. He worked for 50+ years as an auto mechanic in the Dayton area and in Kentucky, retiring in 1994. A member of Gateway Baptist Church in Eaton and was the former owner/operator of the Twin Valley Trailer Park in West Alexandria. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife Freda Shell on January 20, 1995: and 6 brothers and sisters. Survived by children Robert B. Shell of Glenwood; James E. Shell of Glenwood; and A. Diana Pedigo of West Alexandria: grandchildren Misty Holley, Heather Shell, Arlo Pedigo, Anthony Pedigo and Nathanael Pedigo: great grandchildren Marissa, Macie, Malachi and Morgan Holley and Isabel Pedigo: sisters Ruby Brashear of Hyden, KY and Elsie (Richard) Scent of Fairhope, AL: and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters- in-law. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Pastor Ron Sparks will officiate. Friends may call on the family from 1:00 - 3:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Interment Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery, West Alexandria.
