His profession as an electrician brought him pride and joy. He thoroughly enjoyed his employment with Ohio Electric Services, whom he worked for at the time of his death. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Kimberlie (Lowman) Sharp, son Paul Arthur Sharp, daughters Trisha (Mark) Ponichtera and Mollie (Erick) Hamby and his beloved grandchildren Morgan, Erin and Colton Hamby and Ava and Aidan Ponichtera. His mother Pauline Brandenburg, sister Martha Watkins and brother Jerry (Kellie) Sharp. He was loved deeply by numerous nieces and nephews. A special Thank You to Art's caregivers at Miami Valley Hospital Heart and Vascular ICU for their extraordinary care and compassion. Aunt Kim, Trisha, Mollie, and Bo. I am praying for you daily as you go through this tough time. I am so thankful for the time we were blessed to spend as a part of your family when we were younger. Uncle Art was very much a Father figure to me and Holly. We will always be the Four Musketeers. His passing was very hard on me, and I still miss him daily. I can only imagine how hard this is for all of you. One thing I know is that there is a void in our family that will never be filled. I will always miss him. Please know that we are here for you always.
Lots of Love,
Chris, Andi, and Robinson Artis

Dear Kim, Trisha, Mollie, Bo and family, I am so very sorry for your loss of Art. He was more than a wonderful husband, father and poppy, he was one of the best brothers-in-law a family could be blessed with having along with being a friend to anyone he met. He was always willing to help without complaint and was such a good natured and pleasant man. No one will ever fill his shoes. We all miss him terribly. I pray for peace and solace as you settle into your new life and remember that you will once again be together as JESUS promises us. I love you and am here for you. Charm and Chip

Oh, how we love you, Sharp family! Thank you for sharing Art's life through pictures with us; we, too, learned a little more about your "gentle giant" through those pictures. Losing a loved one is never easy, but it's especially hard when that loved one is everything a man should be: a great husband, dad, and poppy. He sure is leaving behind a legacy, though, his amazing family. We're so sorry. <3

I was greatly saddened to hear of Art Sharp's passing. I worked with Art at MDI in 1977. When you work together as a 3-man crew as we did, you get to know a little something about each other's character. Smart, strong, positive, and determined, Art was as fine a worker as I have ever seen, and that is a fact.
