Family-Placed Obituary

RENFROE, Charles R. Age 88 of Miami Twp. Passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton. Charles was born in Ashland, KY on January 25, 1919. Charles was a Navy veteran of WW II and Korea. Charles retired from Dayton Power and Light Co. with 37 years of service. Memberships include the First Baptist Church of West Carrollton, West Carrollton Lodge No. 737 F.& A.M., Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton and an Honorary Kentucky Colonel. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Elizabeth S. Renfroe, daughter and son-in- law Teresa & Bill Hatfield of West Carrollton, brother John B. Renfroe of Shephersville, KY, sister- in-law Gale Renfroe of Sarasota, FL, 2 granddaughters Jennifer and husband Billy Bell, Michelle and husband Thomas Lehmann, 2 great-grandchildren Madison Elizabeth Bell, Andrew Jacob Lehmann, numerous nieces and nephews with a special thanks to Colleen and special friends Shirley and Bob Adkins. A Memorial service will be held Saturday at Sept. 8, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of West Carrollton 705 South Elm St., West Carrollton, OH with Pastor Mark Scroggins officiating. In honor of Charles, the family request memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Dayton in lieu of flowers. Envelopes will be available at the church. It was the wishes of Charles to have his body given to Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine Anatomical Gift Program. Sanner Funeral Home, West Carrollton

We were very saddened to hear the news of Charles' passing. The time we spent as neighbors will always be with us. We always enjoyed our visits with Liz and Charles. Our deepest sympathy goes out to the Renfroes.
