To the Rogus Family:
I wanted to offer my deepest sympathy to your family. I met Chris over 19 years ago when he started working at Fleetwood in Hancock, MD, with my mom, Pat (or as Chris called her Pats) Spielman.
Chris would often stop by my parents house after he and Mark Mazurek played golf at Cacapon, dresses in his golfing attire (I can still see those wild shorts) to have a couple of cool pops!! Chris always spoke so highly of his family back in Ohio. He would tell us stories that would have us doubled over in laughter. I was sorry to hear about his dad.
Chris was so proud when he became a father. Virginia was a beautiful baby. I'm sure he was a dedicated father to she and CJ.
A couple of years ago my mom found out that he and Mark both were battling MS. Since then there hasn't been a night that I haven't said a special prayer for both of them. Those prayers will continue for all of you.
My mom will be visiting me this weeekned. I know that our weekend will be filled of memories of Chris. We share the laughter and tears. She thought of him as the son she never had, and he was one of my many "big brothers".
Chris touched more hearts than you can image. He had so many friends. His laughter and smile, his love of life and his admiration for others will always be remembered.
I thank God for having met him and for calling him a friend. May God give you the strength and guidance. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
With Deepest Sympathy,
Karleen Spielman
