News Death Notice

STROBLE, Claire L. 92 years age of Fairborn, Ohio died Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at her home. She was born on August 24, 1917 a daughter of the late George D. and Beatrice (La Fleur) Brodeur in Springfield, MA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward B. Stroble, a brother Justin, and sister, Lillian Doyle. Claire was a homemaker, a volunteer for many years at the WPAFB hospital, a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fairborn and the Rosary Alter Society, and past president of Daughters of Isabella. Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Ladd Stroble of Henderson, NV and Susan Michel and husband Joseph of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sons, Peter A. Stroble and wife Nancy of Beavercreek, Michael E. Stroble and wife Pamela of Beavercreek, Ohio and Gary Stroble and wife Gail of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Amy, Amanda, Andrew, Megan, Jennifer, and Jesse; great grandchildren, Jaden, Leah, Joshua, Amber and Kyrstin; a sister, Elaine Taupier and husband Al of Agwam, MA. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 AM on January 4, 2010 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Fairborn with Father Charles Lang officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery, Fairborn, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 PM on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Burcham Funeral Home. In Leu of Flowers contributions can be made to St. Vincent DePaul Food Store, 954 North Maple Ave., Fairborn, Ohio 45324. Condolences can be made to the family at www.burchamfuneral home.

We are sending many prayers and positive thoughts to the entire Stroble family. We are so glad that we could spend a little time with Claire at Megan's wedding. She was a great lady.
