News Death Notice

WEAVER, Dale E. age 83 of Dayton, passed away May 24, 2011. He was born February 9, 1928 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Earl and Eolia Weaver. In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his brothers: Frederick and Bernard; and sister, Ruth. Dale is survived by his wife of nearly 61 years, Patricia Weaver; daughter, Linda D. Stagles; son, James (Belinda) Weaver; 5 grandchildren: Jaime, Lisa, Jessica, Jacquelyn and Travis; 2 sisters: Rachel and Eolia; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Dale was a veteran of the U.S. Army, WWII, where he was a rifleman. He spent most of his time in Japan as a Private First Class. Dale retired from Frigidaire after many years of service. He enjoyed square dancing and travelling. Most of all Dale was a devoted and loving husband and father. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Friday, May 27, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm on Saturday.
