News Death Notice

ZIMMERMAN, David W. age 59 of Marco Island, Florida, formerly of Fairborn, passed away Monday October 29, 2012. He was born July 29, 1953 in Dayton, the son of E. Dudley and Bebe (Douglas) Zimmerman. David was a graduate of Fairborn High School and Eastern Kentucky University. Additionally, he obtained CFP and CLU designations and enjoyed a life-long career in finance. David's greatest love was family to whom he was devoted. David was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his wife, Rose and her daughter, Ashley; his father of Fairborn; two sisters, Elaine Zimmerman of Fairborn, Joann Zimmerman of Bellbrook; two nephews, Douglas and Brian Walters; as well as numerous other extended family and many friends. David was a treasured husband and beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin. A funeral service will be held on Monday November 5, 2012 at 6:00 P.M. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be made to the family at www.BeltonStroup.com

My deepest condolences to Mrs. Zimmerman. David will be truly missed and forever in our hearts here at FCS!! He was always in my prayers especially when I didn't see him at the ofc and when I seen he was in the hospital this last time hoping to see him again he has always made me laugh and it was a pleasure to make him laugh! He's so missed already!!! But we will meet again In paradise!!!

Dudley, Elaine, & Joann; I am so sorry to hear about David. Our time together at Green Acres and shooting basketball in your driveway with Steve Meadows, is marked in my memory. So sad, and so close to Bebe's passing. All your hearts must be aching, I know mine is. Please know all of you are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope to see you all on Monday.
