News Death Notice

VOEHRINGER (Spahr), Dorothy 93 of Dayton, OH, passed away Saturday, July 23, in Mesquite, NV where she has been living with her daughter, Janice, for the past six years. She will long be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, as well as a friend to all she met. She brought joy and laughter to those around her even through the final days of her life. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 1979, and her daughter, Sandra in 1999. She is survived by her son, Robert (and wife, Karen) of Houston, TX and daughter, Janice of Mesquite, NV. Her seven grandchildren are David Voehringer, Peter Voehringer, Mark Voehringer, Melissa Zigman, Tracey Brooks, Lori Schreiner, and Lisa Clark. Additionally, she has twelve great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Dorothy is retired from General Motors. She was a life-long member of Trinity United Methodist Church. The funeral Service will be held at Morris Sons Funeral Home, 1771 East Dorothy Lane, Kettering on July 30 at 10:30 AM. Family will receive friends at 9:30, prior to the service. Burial will follow at Beaver Cemetery on Dayton-Xenia Road. Afterwards, a wake will be held at 1:00 PM at Kohler Presidential Banquet Center, 4548 Presidential Way.
