News Death Notice

McDONALD, Dustin Allen "Dusty" age 22, of Dayton passed away suddenly along with his brother, Shawn Roush. He was born February 16, 1986 in Dayton, the son of Donald & Diana McDonald. Survivors include his parents; fiancée, Amanda Applegate; daughters, Mackenzie & Shyanne McDonald; brothers, Danny Roush & Chad (Cara) McDonald; sister-in-law, Jamie Sue Roush; grandmother, Zena McDonald; aunts, Melissa Williams, Donna Johns, Debra Siler, & Patsy Bane; and numerous other family members and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12 PM on Tuesday, January 6, 2008 at Turner Road Church of Christ, 450 Turner Rd., Dayton, OH. Interment will follow at Bearcreek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o Newcomer Funeral Home. To my BIG brother Dawayne:

I know that your grief is great but just remember the good time and late nights (ha ha) you shared. He was your best friend and just remember what "BEST" means. Friends are friends forever even when they are apart. No space can take that away. When you feel like cring just smile you know that is how Dustin would want it. Think about the laughter you shared and good times you had. When you talk about something Dustin would say and start to laugh just remember that he is there and is laughing too. He loved you like a brother and you did him too. Just be thankful that he was a part of your life must people didnt get the pleasure. I know that you will be there for Amanda so she can be strong for Shyanne. Dustin still depends on you to take care of business down here. The sadness is here but soon will go away and all you will have is the kind thoughts you had before. He will let you know when he is around and when he is let him that one day you will meet again and will be able to catch up. He will in someway help you all threw life and you know that too. You were a good friend and just remember he misses you too. I wish that you didnt have to go thru this but life sometimes just isnt fair. Now he can he look over your boy's as he always said he would. You will miss him greatly but please remember him more.

dusty... this has been one of the hardest weeks of my life. It's so crazy that I just saw you , and I never thought that would be the last time we would meet. To Shawn and Dusty's mom and dad...I don't know you but tears are falling anyways. Having kids and one grandson myself I can imagine the deep pain you are going through from such a tragedy. Your grandkids and their mother's will need you now more then ever. So as hard as it may be for you, I'll be praying at church today for everyone involved to have strength, courage, and faith to get you through what might be the hardest week of your lives. And after this week passes, I'll still be praying for you as I know from recently losing someone who meant the world to me, that the second and following weeks are the hardest.
