News Death Notice

KELLER, Edith M. age 80, of Kettering, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2008. Edith loved knitting, sewing, and crocheting. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. Edith was employed at WPAFB as a secretary, and later worked as church secretary for Church of the Cross United Methodist Church and St. Paul United Methodist Church. After retiring she was a long time volunteer at St. Paul United Methodist Church. Edith was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years: Edward Keller; parents: Philip S. & Ethel (Dalrymple) Davidson; and four sisters. She is survived by her son: Gary E. Keller of TN; grandsons: Todd Keller of Dayton, Mark Keller of SC; sisters: Helen Zile of Seaman, Audra Burns of Hillsboro, Charlotte Coulter of Bethel, Eleanor "Davey" Hall of Kettering; special great niece and caregiver: Kelly Scheffer; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 P.M. until time of services. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at West Union Cemetery in West Union, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Acclaim Hospice, envelopes will be provided. Dear ANN , Gary and Family,
We are so sorry to hear about Edith and her husband Ed. Ann told me so much about how she loved them both. We will continue to pray for your family. I am only Happy They are together forever in Heaven. Most couples are not this lucky. God knew they needed one another & could not live without one another. This is an example of what marriage is about. What a Blessing ! If their is anything we can do please, let us know.
We send our condolences and just know they were both Loved very much. Gary's wife Ann will miss them greatly. She has told us how much she adores them for years. I only wish we could all be there to be with you all,
