Fisher, Floyd "Fish" "Corky"

Floyd E. Fisher, affectionately known as "Fish" or "Corky", age 90, of Englewood, passed away peacefully at his home on September 11, 2025. He was born on May 6, 1935, to the late Edward and Bertha Fisher in Dayton. He worked as a Supervisor of Quality Inspection for Chemineer in Dayton, for nearly 27 years before he retired. He also proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Floyd was an avid outdoorsman; he loved tending to his yard, planting numerous trees, feeding and watching birds, and just being in the great outdoors. He was a very generous man and was known for helping his family with anything he could, especially construction type work. His family would say that he was a "Jack of all trades" and could do a little bit of everything. Floyd had a unique sense of humor and was also known for being brutally honest at times. Above all, Floyd enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. Floyd is survived by his sons: Shane (Karen) Fisher, & Eric (Jeff Mascari) Fisher, daughter: Cindy (Stan) Feltner, special neighbors: Lori and Chris Shewman, along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives, and friends he leaves to cherish his memory. In addition to his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by his beloved wife: Shirley Jean Fisher, and 4 sisters. A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd. Englewood). A Service will take place at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Kindred Funeral Home with entombment to follow at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Brookville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Research (501 St. Jude’s Place Memphis, TN 38105) in Floyd's memory.
