News Death Notice

BESCH, Frederick James "Fred" Age 79 of Dayton, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton. Fred was born on November 3, 1935 in Dayton to the late Elmer O. and M. Frances Wells Besch. He is also preceded in death by two nephews, Todd and Rodney Wasson. He is survived by his daughters, Bridget Marie and Beverly Frances Besch; sisters, Susan E. (Dick) Riley and Sharon K. (Jerry) Wasson; Nephews, Scott, Kevin, and Mark Riley and Gregg Wasson; and a niece, Jill Riley Hassler. Fred graduated in 1953 from Vandalia Butler High School and from Miami University with a degree in Business. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard, retired from Quality Beer Distributors, Inc., and after his retirement he was affiliated with the Dayton Daily News. Family and friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2015 at Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum, 118 Woodland Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45409, with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420.
