i just wanted to say gary had a huge impact on me. Before his class i hated art the only thing i appreciated in life was sports. From my experience in his class it made me want to pursue some art classes in college. Thank you for everything you will be dearly missed by the community.

Connie & girls; We never had the pleasure of meeting you all or Gary, but through my sister Patty & Dale we feel like we know you. Words can not describe the sorrow we have for you & your family, I have heard so much about all of you & it breaks my heart to know the pain you are going through. Gary was very loved by alot of people & will continue to be for all the good he did for everyone.
Everytime I talk to Patty & Dale my heart breaks more & more for all of you, Dale misses his brother so much as well as Patty does. I pray that god helps you find a way to get through the loss of Gary, our thoughts & prayers are with you & the girls as well as the rest of your family. May god bless you all...

Dear Connie and Girls,
There are no words to express how deeply touched I was when mom (Beverly Kirby) sent me the information from Iris. I was stunned!! I have said so many prayers for you and the girls and hope that you are finding comfort in God's wonderful and boundless love. The girls and I so enjoyed our day with you at the Reunion. Zoe is still talking about it and wanting a play date with the girls again. You both made us feel so at home and the Scrabble game was so great. Gary was a treasure and I feel truly blessed to have been given the opporunity to know and spend time with him and you, too!! God Bless and Comfort you always, The Dapore Family (Lee, Jeff, Zoe and Ella)

Two of our sons took Art classes from Gary. I spoke to them today and they told me of how he was an inspiration and a unique thinker. One said "he made learning fun". I only met him one time at one of Lebanon High School's Art shows and he was extremely pleasant allowing us to hang around and take pictures (when we really weren't supposed to be there). Our prayers are with you and your family.

What a great loss for everyone. Mr. Simendinger was such a positive person. His stories made me laugh and his outlook on life made my heart smile. He was always there for you when you had a problem and he always pushed you hard to bring out your creativity. I have never met a man that was so kind and that had such a gentle soul. You will be greatly missed Sim!

I came across a saying this morning..."Life is the art of drawing without an eraser." Gary lived his life to the fullest and was always willing to share it. My thoughts and prayers are with Mrs. Simendinger and the girls.

I grieve with you, your family, and Gary's friends. I taught a LHS with Gary and I loved and enjoyed his antics, skepticism, and humanity. There were three men at LHS that were true role models for our young men and Gary was one of them. I will think of him each time I see a young man on a motorcycle and he will live in my heart with fond memories.

Mr. Simmy. What to say about him. He was one of the most dedicated men I have ever met. I may not have had him as a teacher, but I spend many a day in his class room, admiring his work, and the work his talented students had created. His wonderful words of advice, and wise mind will always be remembered.
We'll always love you Mr. Simmy!
