June Rose Simendinger

In Loving Memory of June Rose (Hetra) Simendinger.

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Born in Pittsburgh PA on June 3rd 1942. Passed Away in Meadville PA on January 13th 2026. She was 83 years old.

June was the daughter of the late Andrew and Rose (Grossi) Hetra and she is predeceased by her mother and father and her husband Francis E. Simendinger who passed in August of last year. She is survived by her brother Andrew Hetra Jr., sons William Andrew (wife Sabrina) and Francis Edward (wife Shannon), grandchildren Jessica, Mercedes, Portia, Gage, and great grandchildren Esme and Aurora and nieces and nephews along with their children and grandchildren.

June graduated from Oliver High School in Pittsburgh in 1960 near the top of her class where she enjoyed Chemistry and Bookkeeping. She married her high-school sweetheart Buddy (Francis) in 1962. They lived in the Pittsburgh area after their wedding, and then in Greenville PA for 56 years before she resided in Embassy on Park Avenue in Meadville PA. She raised two rambunctious boys and managed a household and later worked as a cashier on occasion.

She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1979. She attended meetings in person and then later remotely and diligently preached to others about the Bible's message whenever possible.

A memorial service will be held on Zoom beginning at 1:30PM on January 31st, hosted by the Sharon congregation that meet at the Kingdom Hall in Hermitage, PA. For additional Zoom meeting information, call the Kingdom Hall at 724-981-5588.
