Family-Placed Obituary

ALBERTS, George H. Age 86 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2007, at Grace Brethren Village. He was preceded in death by his parents George F. and Valanda Alberts; son R. Michael; sister Jeanne McGarry. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Clarabel (Eleyet); daughter Deborah Sue Tyler (Timothy); sons Thomas Alberts (Beth) of Marietta, OH, and John Alberts (Cathy) of Columbus, IN; brother Robert Alberts (Dottie) of Kettering; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brother-in-law Jim McGarry of Dayton. Mr. Alberts graduated in the last class of Steele High School in 1940 and retired from Frigidaire after 40 years of service. He was a member of St. Rita's Church for over 25 years, T.O.M.s Club Frigidaire Retirees, and volunteered for 25 years at the Franciscan Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 6, at St. Rita's Catholic Church. Fr. Ken Baker will officiate. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-7:00 PM Wednesday at Baker-Hazel & Snider, 5555 Philadelphia Drive at N. Main. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
