Isabel SCHAEFFER Obituary
News Death Notice
SCHAEFFER, Isabel K. Age 94 passed away Friday August 22, 2014 at Walnut Creek Nursing Home. She was born January 23, 1920 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Martin and Isabel Kuntz. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Schaeffer, her sister Marianna Brown and brother Martin Kuntz. She is survived by her brother Peter H. Kuntz (Marge), her daughters Lucia Kunst (Jeff) of Dayton, Diane Fisher (Hart) of Bradenton, Florida, and sons, Matt Schaeffer of Clearwater, Florida, Mark Schaeffer (Karen) of Lebanon, 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; Paula Schaeffer and Patty Kuntz; and many nieces and nephews. "Izzy" graduated from Oakwood High School and Georgian Court University, New Jersey. She was a member of Holy Angels Church, Oakwood Register, Junior League of Dayton and Sugar Valley Country Club. She was an avid sportswoman and private pilot in the early sixty's. She loved golf, bridge, mahjong and her book club. Izzy worked many years as a volunteer at Maria Joseph Nursing Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Vincent DePaul . Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am Friday September 5, 2014 at Holy Angels Catholic Church 218 K Street Dayton, Ohio 45409. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements in care of TOBIAS FENERAL HOME-FAR HILLS C HAPEL. On line condolences may be made to www.tobiasfuneralhome.com
