I didnt know Jerry well, but the few times I had the pleasure of interacting with him, it was evident he was a warm and loving father. His support and love and encouragement for anyone in need, is what I remember about him. We are blessed to enjoy the impact of his meaningful and honorable life. Much love to all the family

Sorry to hear about Jerry. Went to grade school and high school with him. He was always a great guy.

Fifty plus years of friendship create a lot of memories. One of the earliest memories I have is when I first met Jerry. The year was 1964 and I remember well watching Jerry and his Dad, Jack, fly their control line Combat airplanes at the Dayton Model Airplane flying circles, located at that time at Nicholas Road and Cincinnati Street. I spoke to both of them and introduced myself. With the common denominator of control line flying, it was only a matter of days before we established a friendship. Our passion for CL model plane flying grew into participation in competitive events through the Academy of Model Aeronautics and the Dayton Buzzin' Buzzards club. We competed in national events at Glenview Naval Air Station near Chicago, Willow Grove Naval Air Station in Pennsylvania, and Olathe Naval Air Station in Kansas and many others. This was during our high school years and beyond. During this time Jerry won numerous awards but the big enchilada came in 1971 at the Glenview AMA Nationals when he won the Open class for control line Combat, beating out several nationally recognized flyers. Fabulous memory! You left too soon Jerry. We had many more memories to make, and in this case, the sky was not the limit. God speed my friend.
