Family-Placed Obituary

HOWLAND, Jerry Lee Was born June 28, 1963 in Springboro, Ohio to Denver and Jean Howland. He passed away May 3, 2004 at 40 years of age. He was Vice President of Network Services for the Bank of Oklahoma. Jerry was a musician and a board member of the Oklahoma Bluegrass Club. He was the founder and member of the Common Tyme Band. He enjoyed playing his banjo and was building his own mandolin. Jerry has lived in the Blanchard area for the last 6 years. Survivors include his wife Karen Howland of Blanchard, OK; daughters Katie Lynn Howland and Kearsten Lee Howland, both of the home; his father Denver Howland of Springboro, Ohio; three sisters Donna Trent and husband Gary of Waynesville, Ohio, Debbie Kinser and husband Jerry of Waynesville, Ohio, Denise Stringfield of Franklin, Ohio and his niece Melissa Trent, nephews Frankie and Michael Stringfield; his aunts Thelma, Arlene and Charlotte; numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Jean Howland. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 6, 2004 at the First Baptist Church in Blanchard, OK. Rev. Ray Sims will officiate with interment held in the Resthaven Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Eisenhour Funeral Home, Blanchard.

I came to know Jerry over the Internet and with phone calls. I am so sorry not to have met him in person, but by talking to him on the phone I could tell he was a very nice person. I am thankful to have had a little time with him.

I want to express my deepest sympathy to all of you! I know what you are going through, since I lost a son (Matt)at the age of 19 yrs. in 1999. It's very hard when it's a child of yours.God be with you all.
