PELPHREY, Jerry Estill It is with great sadness that the family of Jerry Estill Pelphrey announces his passing. Jerry passed away peacefully at home in Annapolis, Maryland on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at the age of 69. Born on May 18, 1948 in Dayton Ohio to the late Anna Belle (Venters) and the late Estill Pelphrey, he was preceded in death by his sister, Freda Ann VanDine. A native of Xenia, Ohio, Jerry was an outstanding athlete. Known as "moleman" on the field, he earned a football scholarship to Georgetown College, where he graduated in 1970. He retired as Vice President of Operations after a successful career with Coca-Cola which took him all over the world, including Brazil and Thailand (his favorite). He will be lovingly remembered as the most generous, hard-working, caring, kind and loving man by his partner in life Patricia (Brown) Pelphrey, his daughter Michalyn (Gloria), son Michael (Michelle) and grandsons Alexander and Benjamin Pelphrey. Jerry will also be forever remembered by his niece Annalisa (Mike) Kajfez, his great-niece Caetlyn (Dale) Jones, great-nephews Brett and Taylor (Rachel) Keene, his cousin Philip (Shirley) Young and numerous other dear family and friends. A Celebration of Jerry's life will be held at 2pm, on Saturday, April 21, at City Church on 138 S Wilkinson St., Dayton, OH 45402.
