Joe Kilburn Obituary


News Death Notice

KILBURN, Joe "J.J." of Riverside, OH, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2010 at Hospice of Dayton. Joe was a two year veteran of the Army, member of the Knollwood Lodge, The Scottish Rite Lodge, and a member of the Dayton Gym Club. He retired from Harrison Radiator after 38 years of service. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Hazel Kilburn of Beattyville, KY.; two brothers, Wilton Kilburn of Fort Thomas, KY and Cecil Kilburn of Kettering, OH. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Virginia; two sons, Jeff of Riverside and David (Ginger) of Riverside; two grandchildren, Joseph and Stacey of Riverside; one sister, Mildred (Wilton) Palmer of New Lebanon; five nephews and their families; and a host of relatives and friends; sister-in-law, Eva Kilburn of Kettering, OH. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 23, 2010 from 5-7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (4104 Needmore Rd.) with funeral services beginning at 7:00 pm.
