John TUSS Obituary

News Death Notice

TUSS, John J. age 89, of Dayton, passed away Sunday after a short illness. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Mary, the love of his life, sons John (Cindy Deuber), Jim and wife Maggie, granddaughter Jamie and fiancé Phil Tokarsky, grandson Michael (Erin Tangeman), and great grandson Caleb. John was a B-17 pilot in WWII who lived a long, wonderful life as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an excellent role model, fun golf partner, and most importantly, an all-around good guy. He will be missed very much. In keeping with John's lifelong interest in science and engineering, he chose to donate his body to the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University and his brain to the Harvard Brain Tissue Resource Center in hopes of helping medical science some day find a cure for Parkinson's Disease. The family will have a private memorial service. Memorial contributions can be made in John's honor to the National Parkinson's Foundation Gift Processing Center P.O. Box 5018 Hagerstown, MD 21741 or online at www.parkinson.org.
