PARRISH, Joseph S. age 73 of West Milton passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Springfield Regional Medical Center, Springfield. He was born February 5, 1936 in Richmond, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents Emmitt Walker & Icea (Plankenhorn) Parrish, 1 grandchild, brothers Dave, Melvin & Edward Parrish. He is survived by his wife Betty Ellen (Terry) Parrish, step-son Doug & Kathy Thorne-Xenia, OH., daughters Debbie Beverly-Dayton, Tammy Buehler-MO, step-daughter Connie & LeRoy Smith-West Milton, Carol & Bill Shortridge Sebring, FL., 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 3 great- great grandchildren, brother Reed Parrish-Richmond, IN., sister Janet & Ed Hermann-TN. Joe retired from General Motors & White Consolidated, was a member of West Milton United Church of Christ, West Milton Lions Club & West Milton Masonic Lodge #577 F&AM. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Monday, September 21, 2009 at the Hale-Sarver Funeral Home, 284 N.Miami Street,West Milton. Friends may call on Monday from 5:00-6:00 P.M. at Hale-Sarver. West Milton Lions Club & Masonic Lodge services will be held prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to West Milton Lions Club, P.O. Box 67, West Milton, Ohio,45383.

Debi, Heather, and all the members of Joe's family:
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Joe. I wish I had known sooner so I could have attended the services. Things have been so hard for you and I pray that they only get better from now on. I think of you every single day. If there is anything you need please call. 684-2974 in case you don't have it anymore. I love you. You will continue to be in my thoughts during this difficult time.
