Kitty and I used to walk home together down Campus Drive from Cornell Heights Elementary School; she lived on Wesleyan, one street over from me. We lost touch at Fairview, probably because we didn't share any classes. I started to read the Dayton Daily News (on-line) in 2001 and emailed a "Katherine Ulmer" columnist inquiring if she was any relation to Kitty Ulmer who I'd gone to school with.
To my surprise it was Kitty! We corresponded back and forth for a couple years about various things including our Dayton families and Germany since I'd been there a couple times. After recounting my adventures at the 1999 Reunion, I tried unsuccessfully to convince her to attend the 2004 Reunion and we gradually fell out of touch again.
