L. LEGAULT Obituary

News Death Notice

LEGAULT, L. Jill age 70, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 after a long, courageous battle against multiple cancers. Jill was born March 13, 1944 in Rolla, ND, daughter of Edward and Verneil (Johnston) Bingham. She was predeceased by both parents and an infant brother. Jill was raised in Mohall, ND. She met and married her loving husband of 47 years at Minot AFB, ND. She is survived by her Brother Lynn (Kathie) Bingham; sisters Sally (Richard) Reiten; and Bonnie Bingham. She leaves maternal uncle, Byron Johnston, and a whole host of nieces and nephews to mourn her passing. She will also be missed by dear friends, Larry and Judy Szczur of Florida and Richard and Sheryl Cowan of North Dakota. Jill began her Civil Service career at WPAFB in 1981 after moving 14 times in the last 16 years of Larry's Air Force career. She began her 23 year career as a financial analyst and eventually was the primary budget and financial analyst for the multi-billion dollar out-year programs for all Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) laboratories at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio. During this time, she conducted daily interface with Pentagon and Secretary of the Air Force budget analysts. Jill enjoyed doing counted cross- stitch, jigsaw and crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. But most of all she enjoyed traveling to different parts of the world with Larry. They lived in and/or traveled to over 20 countries as well as an additional 20 different islands. Jill would especially like to thank Chris and Mary Mancuso who graciously shared their wonderful children and allowed her and Larry to be grandma and grandpa for fun times too numerous to count. She would like to extend a special and loving thank you to Jerry and Virginia Legault and her sister Bonnie for their loving and tender nursing care during her month long home hospice stay. A special thanks for the visits and assistance provided by her brother Lynn, sister Sally, grandniece Jennifer, Sister-in-law Paulette Stearns, special friends Carol and Charlie Johnson, and the Michigan StateAlumni, Dayton Chapter for the tremendous Support they have provided to both she and Larry, during her long illness. A celebration of life will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, May 31, 2014 with family greeting friends two hours following the service at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering. Larry,

Jill was such a bright light. I will never be able to watch an MSU football or basketball game without remembering pacing in the parking lot with her over the stress of the game. Rest in Peace, dear friend...we will miss you
