News Death Notice

REID, Sr., Larry Ellis Age 68, of Trotwood, Ohio transitioned on May 13, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton. Larry was a graduate of Dunbar High School class of 1966. He was born on November 5, 1947 to the late James L. and Ida M. Reid. He was preceded in death by his brother James Reid II, son Michael A. Lewis and grandson Jarrell Reid. He is survived by 6 children, sons Kevin, Larry Jr. and Rahsaan (Fredericka) Reid. Daughters Cynthia (Bill) Barber, Dawn Hobson and April Reid. Twin Brother Garry Reid Sr., sisters Lois Wright and Joann Johnson. Devoted Aunt and second Mother Jean Battle, special Uncle William T. Reid Sr., special cousins/sisters Cheryl George and Yyvette Beach. 12 grand and 10 great grandchildren. Numerous other family members and friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Greater Love Christian Church, 2345 Lakeview Ave., with Bishop Michael Barringer officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses at Hospice of Dayton for all their care and kindness and also to the Greater Love Christian Church family.
