News Death Notice

GAINES, Rev. Mark Elden 63, of Springfield went to be with his Lord and Savior August 22, 2010 following a brief illness. He was born March 10, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Elden O. and Delores (Craver) Gaines. Mr. Gaines served 16 years in the United States Navy Seabees including two tours in Viet Nam. He earned his Masters Degree in Theology and Pastored the Pentecostal Church of God in California for 14 years, and served as Minister of Worship at the Full Gospel Temple in Eaton, Ohio. He also was a computer technician for Sarcom Corp. in Columbus. He is survived by his wife Vickie (Sibole) Gaines; 10 children Tallawanda Greene, Laurie George, William, Kerry and Paul Gaines, Rebekah Petrere, Diego, Carlos, Miguel and Melissa Bonilla; siblings Sandra Karns, Lynn Baker, Alan Gaines, Steven and Thomas Page, Lisa Morgan and Lori Ann Hoffman; 18 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8 Pm in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday in the International Pentecostal Church of Christ with Rev. Richard Blevins and Dr. Raymond Rothwell officiating. Burial will be in the National Cemetery in Dayton. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to www.richardsraffanddunbar.com
