Marva was a quiet force. She was a thoughtful board member, a keen listener with interesting perspectives to add. I enjoyed serving with her. I will miss her.

Marva was a beautiful person inside and out I will miss running into her at many of the annual events we both attended, or just sharing funny and loving Fab 5 stories on a text or phone call. It was an Honor and a Privilege to know her. Marva you will be missed!

I´ve known Marva for many years primarily through playing golf and working with her on the MVGA course rating team. But she also introduced me to the Dayton Early College Academy (DECA), one of the many community organizations she served so well. I will remember Marva for her great personality, leadership, genuine kindness and fun times on the golf course . She will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to her family.

Marva was in Mary´s Bible class at Christian Life Center on Friday mornings. Such a sweet, positive, gentle woman of God!! We love her and will miss her!!
Our class will be donating to the Dayton Foundation in memory of her. A member, Melanie , will submit that for our group. We have been so blessed to have known Marva!!

I got to know Marva as a member of the board of directors of Antioch University, which has campuses in many states across the country. She had previously been on the Midwest campus advisory board here in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Marva was an amazing champion for the University and for its mission of educating for social, racial, environmental and economic justice. She will be deeply missed. Our sympathy goes out to her husband, Larry, her son, Anthoni, her extended family, and her many friends.

Marva was a lovely neighbor and a great friend. We met at the fence many times to chat and share goodies from the garden. Her presence at our New Year's Eve gathering always added lots of fun and sparkle to the evening.

Homi remembers the first time he met Marva in the old Kodak building her laugh & smile lite up the room. This memory of Marva had remained with me all these years. He was a wonderful woman & top notch leader.
