CASEY, Matthew Scott September 24, 1980 ~ March 3, 2015 Resident of Los Angeles, CA since 2009. Matthew passed away suddenly in his sleep. He was born in Landstuhl, Germany and lived in Beavercreek, OH until leaving for Marine boot camp in 2001. He attended Beavercreek High School and after his stint in the Marine Corp, attended Fullsail University, Winter Park, FL where he received his Bachelor of Science in Film Production (2007) and a Master of Science in Entertainment Business Management (2009). Matt moved to CA to pursue an internship at Warner Brothers, Silver Studios. The highlight of his short career was the two years as a production assistant on the TV History Channel 'Triggers' production. Matt was the youngest of six children and will forever be remembered by his parents, Thomas and Blanche Casey; beloved children; twins, Sahaiah and Micah (2012) and Dominic (2013) whom he shared with Rosalee Tilley; his brothers, Thomas J., John, and Sean; sister-in-law, Maria Lourdes 'Ludy,' Ft Myers, FL; loving sisters, Bonny (Mo) Kotaiche, Valpariso, FL and Dolleen (Stephen) Cross, San Francisco, CA; beloved aunt, Dolly (Bruce) Tomalinas, Punta Gorda, FL; his aunt, Mary Ann (Julius) Vargo; his uncles, John and Patrick Casey; treasured nephews and nieces, John W., Luke, Kaitlyn, Isabella, Kai, and Maya Casey and Owen and Cameron Cross, along with special friends, Kari Collins, Albert Lashbrook Barbara Liles, and countless other friends and family who were blessed to know him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and three paternal uncles. Matt loved watching and critiquing movies, music, karaoke, bringing laughter to others, being with his family, and having fun with friends. Matthew touched the lives of many people with his generosity, and maintained his dream of succeeding in Hollywood to his last day. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 16, 2015 from 9-11am at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio. The service will follow at 11am. Matthew will be cremated and his remains taken to the Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Matt's memory to Toys for Tots, sponsored by the Marine Corps.
