Family-Placed Obituary
CARLSON, Misty 25, of Huber Heights, passed away Tuesday August 30, 2005. Misty was born in Cambridge, Ohio on April 30, 1980. She was a graduate of John Glenn High School & Cedarville University. She worked as a social worker with Montgomery County Children's Services. Member of the Apex Hills Community Church. Survived by her beloved husband, John Carlson; mother, Kathy McClelland; father, Charles Smith; grandparents, Ray & Rachel Button; mother & father-in-law, David & Virginia Carlson; step daughter, Andrea; step son, Grant; sisters, Shawna, Cassie & Sara; brothers, Chris, Andrew, Matthew & Brian; several nieces, nephews, other relatives & many friends & co-workers. Funeral service 6:00 p.m. Saturday at the GEORGE C. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, "North Dayton Chapel", 5040 Frederick Pike at Needmore Road. Pastor Donald Parvin, officiating. Cremation to follow. Misty's family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. If desired, memorials may be made in Misty's memory to Cedarville University, Misty Carlson Memorial Fund, 251 N. Main Street, Cedarville, OH 45314. The time that Misty spent on this world may have been short in time, but the impact she had on those around her will be measured in centuries. Misty was a true believer in the teachings of the Bible and would not want anyone to worry about her. She is now with our maker.

John I am of course very sorry for your loss and I cannot begin to imagine the pain that you are feeling right now, however I do know the inner strength and wisdom that you have (as you have always shared it with the many friends around you) will carry you through.

Misty was a beloved neice, fun,charming and beautiful. How wonderful to see her at her brother's wedding a month before she passed away when she glowed with the joy of life.

What a great loss for the families and children of our community. What a great loss for those who work in the children services field in our community. Misty brought comfort and cheer to a circumstance that involved challenge, and we were always improved by her involvement. I will miss that big smile!

Misty was a co-worker of mine. Always pleasant with a wonderful smile. The kids loved her. What a tragedy that she was taken so young and full of life. It was wonderful that John and Misty found each other.
