Family-Placed Obituary

DENT, Phyllis 59, of Dayton born Jan. 8, 1945, passed away in her home Sunday, November 14 unexpectedly. She was preceded in death by her first husband Arthur H. Rice, her father William J. Toombs, and mother Florence Toombs-Ferguson. Survivors include her loving husband of 22 years Averol "Pete" Dent of Dayton, her 2 sons Doug (Lynn) Rice and Stephen (Sarah) Dent, 3 daughters Cathy (Danny) Masters, Kelly (Tate) Jackson, and Tammy (Dan) Collinsworth, 2 brothers William (Linda) Toombs and James Toombs, 1 niece and nephew, 8 grandchildren Brent, Benjamin, Kaitlynne, Ashten, MacKenzie, Sydney, Sophie, Charlie and a host of other relatives and friends. Services are scheduled for 1PM Thursday, Nov. 18 at Newcomer-Farley Funeral, 3940 Kettering Blvd. in Kettering officiated by Pastor Jeff Davenport with graveside services to follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens in Xenia. The family will receive guests Wednesday from 6-8PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Phyllis' honor to the Special Wish Foundation.
